Every hour you keep the app running, you serve as a Grass node and earn Grass Points. As your Grass Points accumulate, they serve as the basis for future rewards in the form of Grass Tokens. The more you participate in the Grass network, the more Grass Points you accumulate.
When you sign up and connect to the Grass app, your Grass Points will be clearly displayed on your dashboard. This makes it easy to track your progress. Your point total doesn’t just reflect your own bandwidth contributions but also includes bonuses from your referrals when you bring others into the Grass community.

How to Earn Grass Points
Grass Points can be earned in several ways. Currently, users can earn Grass Points by downloading and running the Grass app, as well as referring new users.
Downloading and Running Grass
Every user who downloads and runs Grass starts earning Grass Points right away. Grass operates in the background seamlessly tracking your contributions to the network through Grass Points as long as your computer remains active. It’s that simple. Grass Points reflect your active role in the community and your contributions to the growth of the Grass ecosystem.
Referral Points
Referrals are another way to accumulate Grass Points. When you refer a friend and they download Grass using your referral code, you earn additional points based on their use of the Grass app. Specifically, you will receive a 20% bonus based on the points your referred friend earns. (For example, if your friend earns 100 points, you earn 20 points. Don’t worry, those points don’t come out of your friend’s stash. You earn points separately, and your friend keeps all 100 points they earned.)
But it doesn’t stop there. If your friend refers someone else, you will earn a 10% bonus based on the points that the second-level referral earns. And if someone at the second level of your referral network refers another person, you will earn a 5% bonus based on the points that the third-level referral earns. This cascading referral system allows you to earn points from the activity of users you indirectly brought into the Grass community.
